(This code should be portable for Windows and Linux as well - the actual source code contains some extra instructions for Windows DLLs). Its code then invokes our previously set Xojo function through the stored callback function pointer.

Then, once we load this extension using the "SELECT load_extension" command, sqlite3_extension_init will get called. The SetCallback function stores the address of our Xojo function for later use. We pass it the address of a Xojo function in which we'll handle the installation of our custom functions. This is a function we'll call from Xojo before loading this extension into the sqlite engine. The first relevant part here is the SetCallback function. so files of the ICU-sqlite lib on the web and use them with these instructions. I believe, however, that you can more easily find. Mind you, only for OS X, though, as I do not have the time to make and test versions for Windows and Linux as well. Therefore, I'm making my own built version available, along with the source code. And unfortunately, there is none publically available as far as I could see, at least not for OS X. Still, you need to have a readily built ICU lib for sqlite before you can load it. Furtunately, though, Xojo's plugin allows dynamic loading of extensions (like plugins) into the sqlite engine. This is not a viable option with Xojo because you'd also have to write your own Database plugin to make the sqlite lib usable in Xojo (while the sqlite lib is open source, Xojo's plugin is not, or this would be less of an issue). The usual solution to this is to compile the sqlite3 library with ICU support and then include this lib in your program. This missing unicode support also affects sorting and related comparison functions. only the plain ASCII chars (a-z) will get uppercased but not the special french chars.

For instance, if you try to use the SQL function upper on a french phrase such as Tête-à-Tête, you will get TêTE-à-TêTE, i.e. Now I will be use Bass and Percussion Editor only for percussion instruments and sound effects like a Trance noise effects.Xojo's default Database class REALSQLDatabase (or its replacement SQLiteDatabase), which is based on sqlite, does not support international (non-english) characters. I used only Orion, so it's little hard to me get used to the new program after a long break, but I think I can master the program in the future. I know that LMMS is similar to FL Studio but I almost never used this program. In the past, I used the Synapse Orion program but it looks like it is not developed anymore and I became interested in LMMS. I have some experience with DAW program but I had over 10 years break because the family and duties obligations.īut I want to again, of course in amateur way creating some music as a hobby but a lot of informations flew out of my head and I have to start again.

I know that there is a version 1.2.0 but I didn't have an upgrade yet, but I will check version 1.2.0 on my PC with Windows.

Indeed, Undo (Ctrl + Z) is very useful and works.įor now I have created only a few short one, two minute demos to get to know the program better.Ĭurrently on my laptop I have Lubuntu 18.04 and I am using LMMS version 1.1.3 which I downloaded from the software center. It would be certainly make it harder by accident to remove melodies in a piano roll.Ĭurrently, to protect against accidental removal the melody from song editor, eg from the VST plugins I adds them to the bass and percussion editor, and the song editor I treat as playlists.Īs I wrote earlier, I use LMMS only a few days so I do not know all the possibilities of the program yet. I miss something like a separate melody editor similar to the bass and drums editor. I thought that the song editor is more like a playlist where I just put all instruments and different melodies into one whole. How can I keep previously created melody from accidental deletion? Is there any way to quickly restore the accidentally removed melody? Let's say when I leave the piano roll and accidentally press the mouse wheel and remove the patern with the melody I created.Īnd this is my question. So, I choose Triple Oscillator and open the piano editor and create simple melody. There is only song editor, percussion and bass editor, mixer and rack controllers. Let's say that I run the program first time and I use the basic interface, without adding any vst plugins. I have been using LMMS the for several days and with the help of a few tutorials I have mastered the program's interface in a basic degree but of course even simple things still can make difficult for me.
